In Friedan’s list of goals for the 1980s, she calls for downplaying the struggle against pornography and elevating abortion to the status of “responsible choice.” This disregards the roles that pornography plays in arousing men to violent sex crimes and ignores the horrible crime of murder of innocent babes in their mothers’ wombs.
