A man suspected of killing his former girlfriend and her 65-year-old mother May 4 in their Santa Ana home was extradited Tuesday from Arizona, police said.
Ronald James Blaney Jr., 30, of Fountain Valley, is being held without bail in Orange County Jail awaiting arraignment on two counts of murder, Santa Ana police spokeswoman Maureen Thomas said.
Blaney was arrested May 5 in Arizona, the day after Priscilla Vinci, 34, and her mother, Josephine Vinci, were found dead in their home on E. Cherry Street home.
But Blaney, who was apprehended at his mother’s house in Chino Valley, a small town 12 miles north of Prescott, Ariz., refused to return to Santa Ana voluntarily to face charges. Only after a formal extradition hearing was he ordered to return Tuesday.
