5 on Charter Buses Hurt in Collision

Five people suffered minor injuries Friday night when two charter buses collided with four other vehicles near downtown Los Angeles on the San Bernardino Freeway, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
The victims, all passengers on the buses, were taken to area hospitals, county firefighter Javier Murrieta said.
The accident occurred in the diamond, or commuter, lane of the freeway, a mile east of the Long Beach Freeway, Murrieta said.
