T A woman was killed and a man was injured Friday morning as their cars collided on the 4900 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way, San Diego police reported.
Letitia Ann Pyle, 28, a San Diego secretary, was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Paradise Valley Hospital in National City. Bill Lambert, 52, also of San Diego, was treated for facial cuts and a knee injury at the same hospital, officials said.
Pyle was driving a station wagon westward on the inside lane of King Way when she lost control of the car about 6:50 a.m. Friday and slid into the eastbound lane, hitting Lambert’s car broadside.
Sgt. Tom Gast of the San Diego Police Department traffic division said the wet, slick roads may have contributed to the accident.
