WASHINGTON — The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating an incident in which a Delta Air Lines pilot took off from Boston’s Logan Airport without proper clearance as another jetliner was about to cross the runway, officials said Friday.
The incident involving Delta Flight 670, bound from Boston to Montreal, occurred late Thursday night, authorities said.
It was the sixth unusual incident involving a Delta flight since June 18 and came a day after the FAA announced a special surveillance of the airline.
