Gwen Torrence and Wallace Spearmon helped the United States score a double victory in the 200-meter dashes during the World University Games at Zagreb, Yugoslavia.
Torrence won the women’s 200 in 22.44 seconds, and Spearmon won the men’s 200 in 20.42, accounting for two of the four gold medals won by the U.S. team.
