A site for the Richard M. Nixon presidential library is included in a 253-acre housing and commercial development approved by the San Clemente Planning Commission. The vote was the first of several required for final approval of the project. The project also will be considered by the San Clemente City Council and the California Coastal Commission. Besides the library, the development, is planned to include more than 1,290 homes, three hotels and a commercial center.
