Weinberger Will Visit Italy in Early Fall

ROME — Defense Secretary Caspar W. Weinberger will visit Rome in early fall for talks with Italian leaders, the Italian Defense Ministry said Friday.
A statement said the visit was announced by the U.S. ambassador in Rome, Maxwell Rabb, during talks Friday with new Italian Defense Minister Valerio Zanone.
No specific dates were given for the trip, which is expected to be part of routine contacts between the two North Atlantic Treaty Organization allies.
