68 Dead in Bus Plunge

NEW DELHI — Police Saturday recovered 68 bodies of victims who died when a bus plunged 90 feet into a canal in northern Uttar Pradesh State, the United News of India reported. The overcrowded bus was carrying 136 passengers and as many as 100 people were feared dead in Friday’s accident, which occurred 108 miles northeast of the state capital of Lucknow.
