A 263-acre parcel of land adjacent to Leisure Village in Carlsbad has been purchased for $8.4 million by a joint-venture partnership that plans to build about 740 detached homes and condominiums on the site.
The partners, San Diego-based developer the Buie Corp. and Las Vegas-based Nevada Savings & Loan, said the tentative map for the project has already been approved. Grading will start next spring, with completion expected in 1992.
