Brody Arts Fund applications for 1987-88 are now available.
Developed by the California Community Foundation, the Brody Arts Fund receives $100,000 every four years from the National Endowment for the Arts for grants to those in the “expansion” arts: urban, rural, minority and tribal arts.
It offers funding in three categories: $5,000 recognition awards for organizations with budgets from $100,000 to $500,000; $5,000 grants for organizations with budgets under $100,000; and fellowships of up to $2,500 for independent artists. This year, fellowships will be awarded to literary and media artists. The application deadline for fellowships and organizational grants is Sept. 30. Deadline for recognition grants is Sept. 15.
