The Securities and Exchange Commission said it has decided not to sell about $50 million in shares obtained as part of its insider trading settlement with speculator Ivan F. Boesky. The SEC “concluded it would be inappropriate and akin to insider trading” if it sold the shares, an SEC spokeswoman said.
