Simi Bicyclist 16, Dies After Being Hit by Bus

A 16-year-old Simi Valley boy on a bicycle died of head injuries Wednesday when he was run over by a city bus, Simi Valley police said.
The boy, Brian Landman, apparently lost control of his bicycle while riding westbound on Cochran Street, just west of Stearns Street, Simi Police Lt. Mark Layhew said. Landman fell underneath the bus, being driven by Willie Gray, 45, of Simi Valley, Layhew said.
Landman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not cited, but an investigation is continuing, Layhew said.
