THE FACTS ON . . . CYCLING : Cycling Clubs Around the County
- Share via
Cycling clubs in San Diego County offer all types of rides, from long overnight expeditions to short training rides to velodrome and road racing. And they also serve varying levels of riders. Many have clinics for beginning cyclists.
Publications such as the Cycling Calendar, Southwest Cycling and California Bicyclist are available at bike shops and give information about the many clubs in the area.
The San Diego Bicycling Club is the county’s largest in terms of membership. It offers rides of 60-100 miles for experienced riders, but it also has shorter rides on which experienced riders give tips on handling and other skills.
