Urs Freuler of Switzerland won the World Cycling Championships pro points race title in Vienna for the seventh consecutive year.
Freuler outlasted Tony Doyle of Great Britain and Roger Ilegems of Belgium in the 50-kilometer final. Freuler finished third in the final double-points sprint and scored a winning total of 45 points. Doyle, fourth in the final sprint, had 41.
