Smoking

Our Assembly OKs a smoking ban (Part I, Sept. 2) on airlines. Whoa! Let’s take a look at some of these passengers who smoke. There are a lot of European and Asian business people and tourists who fly here and they are accustomed to smoking. Have we forgotten that tobacco is legal and that smoking tobacco is a custom enjoyed in cultures worldwide? How can we possibly tell all these people, including our own American passengers, that they can’t smoke in a designated area on a flight? Ridiculous!
