Firms Join to Build in Britain

In a venture uniting two of the world’s leaders in construction, Tishman Realty & Construction Co. Inc. in New York, and George Wimpey PLC in London, have joined forces to offer professional construction management services for large-scale, advanced-technology building projects in the United Kingdom.

Founded in 1898, Tishman is responsible for the construction of more than 150 million square feet of projects encompassing nearly every type of building. Wimpey, a publicly held firm traded on the London Stock Exchange with a worldwide turnover in 1986 of $2.4 billion, is building and developing nearly 1,076,391 square feet of commercial space in London.
