Handling of DeCinces Was the Ugliest of All
- Share via
This fan sees a clear connection between the Angels’ inability to mount back-to-back winning seasons and Angel management’s habit of chucking away veteran talent like used Kleenex.
This time, in the sacred name of dollars and cents, Doug DeCinces was cold-bloodedly shown the gate. A sterling return for six seasons of playing hurt, playing sick, providing steady leadership to the infield and consistent service to the club! As a man and a player, DeCinces deserved better, much better, and what Port and Co. did to him stinks.
