Pakistani troops suffered heavy casualties when they attacked Indian positions on the Siachen glacier for the second time in two weeks and were repulsed, the Indian Defense Ministry said. The 150-man attack occurred Tuesday night, according to the External Affairs Ministry, which said Indian troops suffered fewer casualties but did not specify numbers. India said last week that Pakistan lost 150 men in an attack on the same positions Sept. 23-25. Siachen glacier lies 20,000 feet up in the Karakoram Mountains between Indian- and Pakistani-controlled sectors of the disputed northern state of Kashmir.
