Wings West ordered 15 British Aerospace Jetstream Super 31s, making the carrier the first to purchase the advanced version of the 19-seat turboprop airliner, according to British Aerospace. The Wings West order, which includes options on an additional 15 aircraft, comes just three weeks after the San Luis Obispo-based carrier announced an order for 10 BAe Advanced Turboprop regional airliners. Both aircraft have exceptionally low noise signatures and larger-than-average cabins for their classes, British Aerospace said. No value was placed on the purchase.
