Pic ‘N’ Save’s income rose 4% to $8.45 million in the third quarter on a 14% increase in sales to $78.6 million. The Carson-based retail chain said that overall, sales have been soft and expenses were higher. The company noted that seven new stores were opened during the quarter, advertising was expanded, including significant grand opening advertising for the new stores, and it continued its program to address deferred store maintenance and remodelings.
