MEXICO CITY — Anti-narcotics agents arrested two Mexican men and confiscated 13.2 pounds of heroin destined for smuggling into the United States, the government news agency Notimex reported Thursday.
The agency said the heroin, worth an estimated $75,000, was the second largest drug seizure this year.
According to Notimex, the agents arrested the two men, identified only as Juan Mendoza Cardenas and Jose Alberto Lamadrid, during a chance search at a roadblock in Sinaloa state, on the Pacific Coast.
