Reagan Nominates Editor as Ambassador to Austria

WASHINGTON — President Reagan announced Friday he is nominating Henry Anatole Grunwald, editor-in-chief of Time magazine, to become ambassador to Austria. Grunwald, 64, was born in Vienna. He has been editor-in-chief of Time since 1979 and has been with the magazine since 1945.

An Associated Press story carried by The Times Saturday referred to Henry Anatole Grunwald, President Reagan’s nominee to be ambassador to Austria, as editor-in-chief of Time magazine. Grunwald retired as the magazine’s editor-in-chief in August and was succeeded by Jason McManus.
