Lear Siegler Holdings Corp. has sold its Producers Cotton Oil Co. to Fresno-based Dunavant Enterprises Inc., a privately held cotton merchandiser, for an undisclosed price. The sale is part of the ongoing breakup of the Santa Monica conglomerate, which was purchased earlier this year by the New York investment firm Forstmann Little & Co. for $2.1 billion. Producers Cotton’s main business is in the ginning and merchandising of cotton and the processing and sale of cotton seed products.
