Ways to raise $1.1 billion for 165 high-priority street and highway projects in the county will be discussed Thursday at a special meeting of the Orange County chapter of the League of California Cities. Under consideration are an increase in the county’s sales tax, additional developer fees, special benefit assessment districts and increased gasoline taxes. The league will submit a report of its recommendations to the Orange County Transportation Commission and the county Board of Supervisors.
