Child Care in Orange County

The Orange County Child Care Consortium, under the auspices of the Orange County Commission on the Status of Women, would like to congratulate the Board of Supervisors on the package of recommendations that addresses the critical issue of child care in the county.
Our 1984 award-winning publication, “How Can We Work and Care for Our Children,” was followed in June, 1985, by a public open forum. We are pleased that the solutions that were developed as a result of this forum are now being incorporated into the current list of recommendations.
To adequately resolve the child-care problem in the county will require participation and cooperation from all segments of society--government, corporate and community.
