Commuters near Dallas were braking for bulls after 21 of the critters skipped a bull-riding class and roamed across a freeway and suburban lawns. Eight-time world champion bull rider Don Gay was preparing to show students a film at the Mesquite Rodeo Arena when he learned that the bulls had broken a gate latch and escaped the corral. He gave chase bareback on his pinto, followed by arena workers and students, on foot and on horseback. Drivers hit the brakes, and some stopped to photograph the bulls, two of which ran across the freeway, student Sergio Gonzales said. Another was roped in front of a $500,000 house.
