Jennifer Montana, a reporter on San Francisco’s “Evening Magazine” on KPIX-TV, Channel 5, is not just another pretty face--she’s the wife of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Joe Montana. Program producer Lou Wirth, however, insists the name recognition of his new reporter is an “added treat” but not her primary credential. Mrs. Montana saw things differently: “Sure it had a lot to do with it (her hiring). I don’t think for a minute that it didn’t happen that way.”
