Composer George Duning to Be Honored Wednesday

Film composer George Duning will be honored Wednesday with the career achievement award of the Society for the Preservation of Film Music. The program, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., will take place at the Pavilion Restaurant of the Music Center.
Duning has worked on a number of Columbia films, including “From Here to Eternity,” “Picnic,” “The Eddy Duchin Story,” “Bell, Book, and Candle,” “Cowboy” and “3:10 to Yuma.”
