A fire fanned by heavy winds caused $135,000 damage Saturday to a Sun Valley engine manufacturing company, authorities said.
The blaze, at All Heads West, in the 9300 block of San Fernando Road, began about 9 p.m., said Greg Acevedo, a spokesman for the Los Angeles City Fire Department.
No one was injured, he said.
The fire was extinguished within 15 minutes, Acevedo said, but it already had caused $60,000 damage to the single-story building where engines for automobiles are manufactured and rebuilt. Firefighters also reported $75,000 worth of damage to the contents of the building, which included a vintage Corvette and other valuable automobiles.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation Sunday.
