Monrovia : Asbestos Examination

Federal officials have examined the Monrovia High School Auditorium to determine whether the school is eligible for financial aid to remove asbestos exposed as a result of the Oct. 1 earthquake.
The auditorium will remain closed until the asbestos is gone, a district spokesman said. The cost of removal has been estimated at $250,000. Meanwhile, high school students have been using the auditorium at Clifton Middle School.
