The MacArthur Boulevard entrance to John Wayne Airport will be closed from 10 p.m. Dec 28 to 6 a.m. Dec. 29 while a new storm drain is built, officials said.
Travelers are advised to use the Campus Drive entrance during the hours that MacArthur Boulevard is closed.
Those wishing to park at the airport early on Dec. 29 before MacArthur Boulevard is open to traffic again can use the North Parking Lot on Main Street near Redhill Avenue and take a free shuttle bus to the terminal. The shuttle operates from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, with trips to the terminal every 15 minutes.
No commercial airline flights depart John Wayne Airport during the period that the MacArthur entrance will be closed, but a few arrive after 10 p.m., so people picking up passengers will be affected.
