Local News in Brief : Sly Stone Pays Ex-Wife
- Share via
Rock musician Sly Stone admitted Wednesday that he violated his probation by failing to pay $2,856 in child support to his ex-wife and son, then handed a cashier’s check for the amount to Los Angeles Municipal Court officials.
Judge Joseph Spada sentenced Stone, 43, to seven days in County Jail for the probation violation, but he has already served that much time behind bars since surrendering last week. Stone remained in custody in a separate cocaine case in Santa Monica Municipal Court.
Stone’s check will be given to his former wife and 14-year-old son, officials said.
