High School Basketball : Ouellette Preserves Royal’s 57-54 Win

J. P. Ouellette made two free throws with one second remaining to secure Royal’s 57-54 nonleague victory at Calabasas on Wednesday. Sean Obuzek and Jon Drezner had converted three-point jumpers to bring Calabasas to within one point with four seconds left.
Ouellette finished with 13 points and teammate Russell Myers added a team-high 14 points for Royal (7-3).
GIRLS
Brea-Olinda 63, Thousand Oaks 48--Kris Pederson scored a game-high 20 points in a losing effort for Thousand Oaks in the third-place game of the Santa Barbara tournament.
Burbank 33, Hart 31--Jennifer Gomez had 16 points and 10 steals as Burbank (7-2) came from behind in the consolation semifinal of the Simi Valley tournament.
