Gen. Davis to Head U.S. Forces in Japan

TOKYO — Air Force Maj. Gen. James Davis will take over as the top U.S. military officer in Japan on Jan. 22, replacing Lt. Gen. Edward Tixier, a U.S. Air Force spokesman said Wednesday.
Davis, who will command more than 60,000 personnel stationed at nine bases in Japan, is currently vice commander in chief of the Pacific Air Forces at Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii.
