Rusk, 78, Hospitalized With Fever, Infection

ATLANTA — Dean Rusk, secretary of state under Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson, has been hospitalized with a fever and infection, his son said today. Rusk, 78, was admitted to Emory University Hospital on Dec. 26 and is being treated intravenously with antibiotics for the infection, said Richard Rusk. He was reported in stable condition.
