Unbeaten Biola Tops Field in Point Loma Tournament

Biola College, 14-0 and ranked third in the nation in the National Assn. of Intercollegiate Athletics, will be the featured team in the 25th Point Loma Nazarene college basketball tournament, which begins today and runs through Saturday at Point Loma Nazarene College.
Biola will meet Lee College today at 6 p.m. Point Loma Nazarene (4-6) will meet Southern Nazarene at 8 p.m. in the first round of round-robin play tonight.
Southern Nazarene, of Oklahoma City, is 11-1.
Biola is the defending NAIA District III and Point Loma tournament champion. Lee is 8-3 this season and is averaging 110 points per game.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Shannon Anderson and Laura Mars scored 21 points each to lead Point Loma Nazarene College to a 77-71 nonconference women’s college basketball victory over William Jewell at Point Loma.
