American Airlines has asked the Transportation Department to impose sanctions against British Airways for alleged “discriminatory and anti-competitive practices” related to its Travicom computer reservation system. The airline charges that British Airways refuses to list flights of certain U.S. carriers in Travicom and won’t allow users of American’s computer reservation system, called Sabre, to issue British Airways tickets in England. American asks that U.S. computer reservation systems be allowed to discriminate against British Airways in the same manner until the matter is resolved.
