Their World Series victory was worth $85,581 each to 26 members of the Minnesota Twins, who will benefit from the second-largest Series pool, according to the baseball commissioner’s office.
Twins personnel will share $3,073,523 from a total players’ pool of $8,537,564 divided among 12 clubs.
The St. Louis Cardinals, who lost the Series in seven games, earned $2,305,142, with 34 players getting $56,052 each.
The previous high pool was $8,646,928 in 1986.
