Local News in Brief : Senior Housing Vote

Plans for a 10-unit housing project for low-income senior citizens will be submitted to the Hawthorne City Council for final approval Feb. 8.
The project, which won preliminary approval by the council Monday, is to be built at 4354-4358 W. 116th St. Through the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Section 8 loan and subsidy program, tenants would not have to pay more than $425 for a one-bedroom unit or $375 for a studio.
