THE PREPS : Boys’ Soccer : Brennan Leads La Habra Past Sonora

Dylan Brennan scored twice, bringing his season total to 11 goals, to lead the La Habra High School boys’ soccer team to a 3-0 Freeway League victory Thursday over host Sonora.
David Vallejo added the third goal for the Highlanders (9-5-3, 4-2), his 15th of the season. It was the first game back for Vallejo, who broke his nose two games ago in a match against Fullerton.
La Habra goalie Jason Keller had eight saves. Goalie Mike Lewis had 12 saves for the Raiders, who are 3-3 in league play.
In the Orange League:
Brea-Olinda 4, Magnolia 3--The first half ended in a 1-1 tie, but Brea-Olinda players Ray Schwengel, Scott Maurer and Tony Catalano scored in the second half for the Wildcats (7-4-6, 2-1-2), playing at Magnolia. Lars Jansson scored in the first half for the Wildcats. Goalie Brian Hester had eight saves for Brea-Olinda.
Jesus Flores scored all three goals for Magnolia (0-16, 0-5), and Eric Haley had eight saves.
Valencia 0, Western 0--Goalie Yahya Jahadi made five saves for Valencia (8-6-3, 2-0-3). Western is 1-1-3 in league.
