After a year spent battling more than its share of problems, Cochrane Chase, Livingston & Co. has moved to new offices.
The new headquarters in Irvine are about 40,000 square feet, slightly larger than the former offices in the Newport Beach area.
Jack Gerken, a vice president with Cochrane Chase, said the move was made because of “the expected future growth of the firm. Hopefully, there’ll be new business.”
Cochrane Chase suffered a series of setbacks last year when it lost three fairly sizable accounts, called off a merger and laid off about 17 people. But, Gerken said, “we’ve been getting out of those problems.” He added that Cochrane Chase’s stated billings were about $59 million last year.
Within the past two months, the ad shop has picked up two new clients: Pharmacia Ophthalmics of Pasadena and Homart Development Co., the commercial real estate development arm of Coldwell Banker real estate group.
