Ron Bookman, 46, deputy executive director of the Assn. of Tennis Professionals, died when a car struck him as he rode his bicycle across a city street in Dallas.
The driver stopped her car after the accident, and although no charges have been filed, the case has been referred to the grand jury.
Formerly a staff writer for the Houston Press, Bookman also had been executive sports editor of the Memphis Press-Scimitar, public relations director for the World Championship Tennis tourn1634559342
