Home sales in March rose 10.7%, the California Assn. of Realtors reported. It attributed the increase to slightly lower mortgage rates and concern among home buyers that housing prices may continue to increase during the spring and summer months. The group said the sharp jump came despite a 2.7% statewide median home price increase to $151,725 from $147,665.
