MAI Basic Four’s earnings for its fiscal second quarter ended March 31 rose 16.5%, to $6.3 million from $5.4 million in the year-earlier period. The Tustin-based computer manufacturing and maintenance company also reported that its revenue for the quarter rose 35%, to $105.36 million from $78.05 million a year ago. The company said its January acquisition of computer maintenance businesses in Canada and the United States “contributed substantially” to the growth in revenue and profits. MAI Basic said its revenues were also aided by strong sales in Europe--its biggest international market--and increased software sales.
