Lindsay’s Little Tokyo Involvement Decried

We quite appreciated Sam Hall Kaplan’s closing paragraph concerning our difficult position with Councilman Gilbert Lindsay. Your third-party observation was both accurate and believable.
We are working on a major project at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, and experience political patronage, delays and interference. The Lindsay attack on our position, favored by everyone who has become familiar with the “Showa Village” for First Street North, closely resembles the pattern of politics we have encountered in the Chicago region. We would be very dismayed to find Los Angeles already backsliding toward third-place Cook County.
