Middle-management hiring should expand in the next six months in the Pacific region of the United States at a faster rate than the remainder of the country, according to a survey by Management Recruiters, the nation’s largest search firm. David Reiss of Beverly Hills-based Management Recruiters said more than half the firms surveyed in Pacific states were planning to hire more middle managers and professional staff in the coming six months, compared to about a third of the companies nationwide. About 40% of the region’s firms said they planned to maintain current staff sizes and 3.9% planned reductions.
