Local News in Brief : Anaheim : Man Dies After Being Found in Crawl Space

A 34-year-old man found in the crawl space beneath a house early Thursday died at a hospital about an hour later, apparently of a drug overdose, police said.
Officers who responded to a burglary call found William John Palamino of Anaheim, whose street address is unknown, under the house at 524 Adelle St. Palamino was incoherent and screaming and refused to come out, according to Police Sgt. Gordon Blair.
Police finally captured Palamino after they removed a portion of siding from the house and an officer crawled in to get him.
Palamino died at 4:24 a.m. at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, Blair said.
“Although his death may be attributed to a drug overdose,” Blair said, “a joint investigation with the Orange County district attorney’s office is being conducted.”
