Israelis Chase Stone-Throwers

JERUSALEM — Soldiers chased masked stone-throwers into a West Bank high school today, closed 40 other schools and blocked a main Jerusalem street to stop young Arabs from hurling rocks.
Despite the measures, dozens of incidents were reported. Reports said soldiers arrested more than 50 Palestinians who responded to a new underground leaflet urging “escalation of the struggle” in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, where a rebellion against Israeli occupation began Dec. 8.
