Martin Scores at Buzzer to Win All-Star Game

Erik Martin of Whittier Christian High School scored with no time left to give Orange County a 91-89 victory over Santa Barbara Sunday in the Vacation all-star basketball game at Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta.

With the score tied, 89-89, and seven seconds left, Mike Hopkins of Mater Dei stole an in-bounds pass and fed Martin.

Center Adam Keefe of Woodbridge had 16 points to lead Orange County, which led, 48-42 at halftime. Bobby Joyce of Santa Ana had 13 and Martin 10. Chris Tower of Westminster had 10 rebounds and Keefe had seven before fouling out with 3 1/2 minutes left.
